Pregnancy and Birth
Follow-up that runs from the first week of pregnancy through to birth. Reviews, ultrasound assessments and the preparation programme are handled by the same team.
TREATMENTS IN THIS DEPARTMENT
Pregnancy Follow-up
Regular assessment of mother and baby from the beginning of pregnancy through to birth, covering examination, ultrasound and tests.
Detailed Ultrasound
An ultrasound assessment in which the development of the baby organs is examined in detail. It is usually carried out in the second trimester.
High-risk Pregnancy Care
A follow-up programme for pregnancies needing extra monitoring, with shorter intervals between reviews and, where needed, other departments involved.
Birth Preparation Programme
A group programme bringing together breathing, posture and information sessions in the period before birth. Partners are welcome to join.
